The Practice

Our newly renovated rooms within the SAN Parkway Clinic has a number of innovative features that benefit our patients

Reception

We offer a range of amenities to help you feel at ease including comfortable seating, calming music, and sensory toys. Our reception also contains an EFTPOS terminal for tap and go payments and a Hicaps machine to allow on the stop health fund claims.

Whether you're coming in for a routine check-up or a more complex dental procedure, we're committed to providing you, with the highest level of care in a welcoming and supportive environment

Surgery Two

Surgery two is also designed with the comfort and convenience of our patients in mind. Like surgery one we have a portable dental lounge and specialised equipment trays which can be easily put away to maximise space.

Our surgeries are equipped with digital hand-held Xray machine, rotary endodontics for root canal treatment. surgical hand-pieces for complex extractions and nitrous oxide (happy gas) to allow for a full range of chair-side treatment.

OPG X-Ray

Our dental practice is equipped with a state-of-the-art OPG (orthopantomogram) x-ray machine, which allows us to capture highly detailed, panoramic images of your mouth, jaw, and teeth.

This technology is essential for diagnosing a wide range of dental issues, from cavities and gum disease to more complex conditions such as impacted wisdom teeth and jaw misalignment. The OPG x-ray machine is also incredibly safe, using low levels of radiation to minimise any potential risks to our patients.

At our practice, we use the latest digital imaging technology to capture and analyse these images allowing us to diagnose and treat dental issues with precision and efficiency.

Sterilisation Room

At our dental practice, we take your health and safety seriously, which is why we have invested in a dedicated sterilisation room that meets the highest industry standards.

Our sterilisation room is equipped with the latest technology and equipment, including ultrasonic cleaners, autoclaves, and disinfectant systems, all of which are designed to ensure that our instruments and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sterilised for each patient. We also regularly test our sterilisation equipment and processes to ensure that they are working effectively.

Our commitment to sterilisation extends beyond our instruments and equipment. Our staff continue to keep up with infection control courses and we are proud to maintain our QIP Practice Accreditation Standard.

Surgery One

The larger of our two surgeries is designed with the comfort and convenience of our patients in mind. The centrepiece of the room is our portable dental lounge which is fully adjustable to provide optimal support during your procedure. We have plenty of support pillows and a weighted blanket to help you feel as comfortable as possible.

For those who prefer to stay in their own wheelchair, our dental chair can simply be moved out of the way to ensure optimal access to dental equipment in a clutter-free space.

Dr Karve and her team take great pride in their work and will do their utmost to provide you with the best treatment possible. Here's what you can expect from a typical visit

Diagnosis

At Mind Body Teeth we know a first impression matters most. So we take great pride in making sure we allocate plenty of time for your first visit. The first visit is usually a consultation with you (and your support team) to find out your specific oral health concerns.

To prepare for this appointment we will need you to send us your referral (if you have one); a medical summary; your list of current medications and details of your guardians (if you are supported in your medical decisions)

Ideally Dr Karve will undertake a full dental examination and Xrays. This might not always be possible if you are too anxious. Just let us know what works best for you or your loved one.

Treatment planning

After your consultation, Dr Karve will go through all of the available treatment options and together we will come up with a plan which best suits you.

At Mind Body Teeth we know treatment is most successful when you are most comfortable. Please feel free to tell us what works best for you- whether this is music, pillows and blankets or low-sensory spaces. We also have happy gas and sedation available at our rooms. For more complex work, Dr Karve can help you plan for treatment under general anaesthesia.

Post operative review

Reviewing and getting feedback on our care is essential to our team. This is why a free post-operative review appointment is booked after every surgery. Dr Karve will go through your procedure and Xrays and assess healing.
